Overview

Established in 1963, PEI is a leading surgical and medical device distributor in Ireland. With an efficient sales and marketing function it is ideally placed to meet the demands of the entire Irish healthcare market - providing optimal medical supplies solutions for both healthcare professionals and patients alike.

The company specialises in the distribution of a number of medical device areas throughout Ireland, including: orthopaedics; cardiac; operating room; neuroscience; pain management; sleep and respiratory medicine; and, dialysis.

In 2002, PEI extended its portfolio to include the distribution of dental and medical products to more than 4,500 Medical Practices and Dental Surgeries throughout Ireland, when it purchased Promed. 

In 2005, PEI expanded its portfolio further, when it moved directly into patient care, with the establishment of a series of Dialysis Clinics, in Galway and Kilkenny, under the Wellstone brand. In 2009, this model was extended still further, to include the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart related issues, with the establishment of the Cardio Clinic at the Vista Primary Care Campus in Naas.
