The Cardio Clinic, located in The Vista Primary Care Campus, is Ireland’s first community based, full-service cardiac screening and diagnostics centre. A primary focus of the clinic is to bring cardiac care back into the community. The Clinic is run by a multi-disciplinary team of cardiac professionals, including consultant cardiologists, clinical physiologists, nursing and administrative staff. It offers an extensive range of specialist Cardiac services. These tests are relatively quick and straightforward, but critically they are interpreted by one of the Clinic’s Consultant Cardiologists.

Over the past year the Clinic has developed its services which now include:

  • Echocardiogram
  • Exercise Stress Test
  • Electrocardiogram
  • 24-hour Blood Pressure Monitor
  • 24-48 hour  Holter Monitor
  • B-Type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP)Test

Patients attending the clinic are met and treated by a multi-disciplinary team and any tests necessary are carried out in both a relaxing, professional and clinically reassuring environment.  Appointments are by GP referral only  with quick access to tests and to a cardiologist, suiting the patient and his/her schedule. Once tests are complete, test reports are promptly relayed back to the patient’s GP.
