Clinical Compendium Highlights Quartet Benefits

St. Jude Medical has just released a clinical compendium of published studies which highlight the main benefits of using its QuartetTM LV lead over other conventional leads. These benefits include: a reduced need for lead repositioning at implant; a reduced need for surgical revision; and, the possibility of ensuring lead stability whilst retaining the ability to pace more basally.

The QuartetTM LV lead itself, having four electrodes and up to ten pacing configurations, provides many benefits which can help improve CRT efficiency during implant and follow-up, giving consultants more options to manage common intra-operative pacing complications such as phrenic nerve stimulation (PNS) and high-pacing thresholds.

The clinical compendium, which can be downloaded from the menu on the right, confirms the importance of bringing quadripolar technology to market, and reaffirms St. Jude Medical’s position as being the first company to do so.
