The EllipseTM ICD, a recent addition to PEI's Cardiac portfolio, is the smallest ‘high-energy’ ICD device in the industry and has many features which aim to improve ease of implant and provide maximum patient comfort. Its powerful feature set includes:

• expanded ShockGuardTM technology - for protection against inappropriate and unnecessary shocks
• enhanced ST Monitoring - for greater insight into ischaemia-related ventricular arrhythmias
• a unique physiological shape – for ease of implant

Of the EllipseTM, Mr. Gumbrielle said:

“The size and shape of the EllipseTM device is more in line with a pacemaker and the unique angulation on the header will facilitate simpler box change procedures and improved lead wrap. This device now sets the benchmark for ICD design and functionality.”
