PEI Hosts CRT Innovation Workshop in St Jude Medical's ATC, Brussels

In its commitment to contribute to the education and development of new skills for Cardiology Registrars, PEI hosted another workshop in the St. Jude Medical’s Advanced Technology Centre, Brussels, on 12th and 13th November.

The workshop was led by Course Facilitator Dr Ricky Sheahan, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, Beaumont Hospital.

The course provided the Cardiology Registrars attending with an insight into Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy, giving them hands-on experience with virtual reality simulation and the St. Jude Medical programmer.

The learning outcomes of this course were for attendees to:

• Understand the relevant anatomies
• Apply a systematic approach to CRT device implants and device follow-up
• Increase familiarity with current available technologies
