PEI ICS 2011 Charity Run a Success

The PEI-organised charity run at this year’s ICS 2011 meeting on Friday, 10th October was a major success, with a number of hospitals from both the Republic and Northern Ireland participating. The run, in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation and local Northern Irish charity Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke Association (NICHSA), saw a huge increase in attendance on the previous year, making for a fun and exciting event.

The winning team was Craigavon Area Hospital, who managed to run the 4km distance in an average time of 11 min 6 sec - a fantastic achievement.  They will now receive an educational bursary from PEI worth €4000.
