PEI Supports INMO Annual Conference

PEI was delighted to once again support the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation Annual Conference. This year the conference was held in the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, Co. Meath on Saturday the 13th March.

The INMO is Ireland’s largest professional trade union for nurses and midwives with a membership of well in excess of 40,000. The Organisation’s members work in all areas of the Irish healthcare system, both public and private, including clinical, educational and management in both hospital and community settings.

Implementing the Organisation’s motto “Working Together” the INMO provides a unified voice for the professions of nursing and midwifery and provides strong leadership in matters affecting the standing of the two professions in the eyes of the wider community.

The annual conference featured speakers from right across the country on multiple topics relating to the operating room. These included talks on ‘Management of the Paediatric Patient in the Adult Setting’, ‘Patient Positioning’, ‘Care of the Burns Patient’ and ‘Anaesthetic Management’ among many other subjects.

At this year’s meeting PEI promoted its Gammex® family of surgical gloves manufactured by Ansell. The Gammex® family includes, Gammex ®, Gammex ®PF, Gammex®  PF Hygrip™, Gammex® PF Underglove, Gammex® PF  Sensitive, Gammex® PF IsoDerm®, Gammex® PF HydraSoft®, Gammex® PF DermaPrene®.

With such a broad range - there is a "glove for every application".

PEI designed a unique wheel shaped promotional brochure to inroduce the Gammex® family. This in turn was supported by a "Spin the Wheel" competition which was open to all attendees at the meeting. The feedback from all who took part was excellent.

If you would like further information about the Gammex® family of surgical gloves, please contact your local hospital representative or call PEI at +353 1 419 6900.
