The POLYAX® Locked Plating System has unique screws that angle and lock for surgical flexibility and fracture stability. Featuring patented polyaxial-locking screw technology that allows screws to be inserted and locked into the plate at any desired angle within a 30-degree cone of angulation, POLYAX is intended for use in open or closed periarticular and periprosthetic fractures, malunions, and non-unions of the distal femur and proximal tibia. The POLYAX System is designed to help give surgeons maximum flexibility with the use of fixed-angle locking, variable-angle locking, and non-locking screw options, as well as percutaneous instrumentation. The result is individualised fracture fixation based on each patient's fracture type, bone quality and anatomy.
The POLYAX femoral and tibial plates are intended for use in:
• Periarticular fractures
• Periprosthetic fractures
• Malunions and non-unions
• Osteotomies
