ResMed PEI to attend ITS 2015

ResMed PEI is delighted to announce that it will once more attend the very successful Irish Thoracic Society (ITS) Annual Scientific Meeting 2015 which will take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel Cork on the 13th and 14th November next.

This year's ITS programme reflects the excellent work in respiratory medicine and healthcare taking place throughout the island, and promises ‘state of the art’ education on a range of topics.

Special features of this year’s meeting include: a lecture on Severe Asthma by Professor Liam Heaney, Queens University Belfast; a lecture on COPD by Professor Sanjay Sethi, University at Buffalo, State University of New York, a lecture on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea by Professor Walter McNicholas, St Vincent’s University Hospital; a lecture on Interstitial Lung Disease by Professor Athol Wells, Royal Brompton Hospital, London, as well as a keynote lecture as part of the ITS Paediatric Forum.

In addition, original research will be presented in both oral and poster form. This year has seen a record number of abstracts and case study submissions  - well over 200 in total.  This reflects the high standard of innovative work taking place research centres throughout the island. The ITS Case Study Forum has also become a great success and will be held once again on the Thursday evening (12th November).  The programme also includes forums for individual groups such as nurses, physiotherapists, respiratory physiologists and paediatricians.
