Nursing Matters Meeting a Major Success

PEI’s recent Nursing Matters meeting was a major success with attendees finding the content covered to be both informative and relevant to their practice.

The meeting, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown, Co. Dublin on 28th – 29th April, was designed by nurses for nurses and consisted of general perioperative talks, as well as breakout sessions in debate, lecture and workshop formats.

The two-day meeting allowed attendees to share experiences, identify key clinical issues and work to solve and enhance practice. It was also a great way for individuals to network with their peers in an informal setting.

Talks were given on a variety of topics, ranging from anatomy and radiology of the spine to tumours, and each talk was given by a prominent surgeon from an Irish hospital. These were well-received and provided a relevant link to the workshops that took place afterwards.

The success of this meeting emphasises the importance of education in PEI’s service offering. The company aims to host educational events that delegates will find informative, useful and enjoyable. Feedback suggests that the Nursing Matters meeting achieved this aim, and we thank attendees for their contribution to its success.
