PEI has been distributing St. Jude Medical products (one of the world's leading cardiac device manufacturers) in Ireland since 1997. Stroke and heart disease is still the number one cause of death and disability in Ireland and so at PEI surgical we are dedicated to developing services that put more control in the hands of the physicians and thus contribute to successful outcomes for every patient.

We look at our products through the eyes of our customer, working to reduce risk in order to ensure the patient outcomes. We are focused on our customer and patient needs which drives our innovation and new product introductions.

While PEI’s primary responsibility is to the surgeon and his/her team, it also realises the importance of close contact with the patient. Through patient contact one gains a better understanding of patient concerns, patient needs and of course can deliver solutions which not only meet their expectations but may even exceed them.

Surgery can be very traumatic for the patient, but it shouldn’t need to be. Through better understanding of your condition and also the surgery prescribed by your Cardiac physician, you will be better prepared, both pre-operatively and post-operatively.

However there is no substitute for professional advice. To this end, we would strongly urge you to talk in detail to your physician and to your General Practitioner. Like anything in life, the more you put in, the more you’ll get out!
