McEntee's Rangers Through To Sixth All Ireland Final

It was a much anticipated AIB GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Semi-Final - the meeting of Dublin and Leinster's finest, Kilmacud Crokes v Crossmaglen Rangers, Ulster's kingpins, managed by PEI's Tony McEntee - in Navan, on Sunday, 27th February. And as a football spectacle it certainly didn't disappoint.

It has to go down as one of Crossmaglen Rangers’s greatest days. The display of character and determination was clearly evident. Twice behind by 6 points and with  Kilmacud Crokes very much on top of their game, this young team came of age in the Navan sunshine and wrote their own piece of history. They battled and fought like never before to turn the game into one of their most memorable victories. The final score was Crossmaglen 2-11 Kilmacud 1-12.

Now a 6th All Ireland Final beckons on St Patricks Day in Croke Park against St Brigids of Roscommon, Ranger's semi final opponents in 2007. No doubt McEntee and co. will do all in their power to ensure that the Andy Merrigan Cup is back in the Rangers Hall on St Patrick’s night.
