PEI and Medtronic to host a Roundtable Innovation Update Meeting on DCBs

On Tuesday, 17th May PEI and Medtronic will host an Innovation Update on Drug Coated Balloons.
This meeting entitled, “Clinical Evidence for use of DCBs in the SFA" will provide the perfect opportunity for you to discover how Medtronic’s physician-inspired engineering, landmark clinical trials and transformative medical technology are advancing the practice of medicine in the drug-coated balloon therapy area.

Leading the discussion at the meeting will be Dr STEPHEN KAM, M.D., Senior Director of Market Development in Europe at Medtronic.

About Stephen Kam, M.D.
Stephen is currently the Senior Director of Market Development leading the drug-coated balloon therapy development in Europe.  He started his career at Medtronic in clinical research, where he was responsible for managing both aortic and peripheral clinical trials, specifically the IN.PACT DCB international clinical programs since 2012.  Subsequently, Stephen led the global regulatory approvals for IN.PACT DCB, most recently the FDA approval of IN.PACT Admiral in 2014.  Prior to Medtronic, Stephen was an internal medicine residence at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital.  Stephen received his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
