PEI is working to assist hospitals on their journey from latex to latex free in their operating theatres, and in doing so, providing a more sustainable offering, which is safer for the patient and the entire operating room team.

Hospitals are switching to a latex-free environment to eliminate the risk of latex allergy adverse events. The move has other advantages to consider too, such as the elimination of time and product wastage, the consolidation of glove lines (more space available for O.R storage and more simplified ordering), and minimising disruptions due to latex allergy related constraints.
