Sustainable Operations

Energy and Climate Action

Our goal: Reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 44% by 2030 and transition to 100% renewable electricity by 2045.

Current Initiatives:

  • Solar Energy Utilisation:

    In 2025, 45,022 kWh of renewable energy was generated, covering 33% of our total electricity consumption.
    - PEI continues lobbying for regulatory changes to increase solar capacity.
  • Energy Efficiency in Facilities:
    - Sensor-controlled lighting
    installed, reducing energy waste by shutting off lights when daylight is sufficient.
    - HVAC optimisation to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.

Sustainable Transportation

Our goal: 90% hybrid/electric company fleet by 2027.

Current Initiatives:

  • Fleet Electrification:
    - Currently, 45% of our 55-vehicle fleet is hybrid or electric
    - CO₂ emissions reduced from 125g/km (2022) to 71g/km (2024).
    - Future target: Achieve an A-bracket CO₂ emissions rating by 2027.
  • Employee Commuting & Business Travel:
    - Remote work policies and carpooling initiatives to minimise emissions.
